          1.  LOOSEN UP YOUR PAINTING!

A fun and relaxed acrylic painting course – but structured for substantial,
noticeable results! For painters with some experience, or fully experienced,
who want to loosen up, liberate and invigorate painting that is is too “tight”

1.  Why might you want to loosen up?  Very real advantages to a loose, fresh,
liberating and simplified approach!
2.   Specific methods for loosening up your painting – demonstrations by the instructor
in every class followed by fun learning exercises and mini projects for all students
3.   Acrylic painting techniques – including alla prima, impasto, knife painting, glazing,
scumbling, blending and the short and choppy of it all…!
4.   Color theory, composition, spatial development, focal points, importance of value
studies, underpainting, warming up exercises, inspiration, commitment and writing
down intentions
5.   Demonstrations by the instructor followed by you completing one or more
paintings.  One-on-one, hands-on instruction with the goal for you to paint like
you,
not the instructor or anybody else!  You are encouraged to explore, to expand your
own creative potential and make progress developing your own style.
6.   How to facilitate inclusion of serendipity in your painting – long live those happy
accidents!
7.   Painting from photos supplied by the instructor and/or your own photos – you will
complete one or more paintings, producing some you may have not thought possible!
One-on-one, hands-on instruction.
8.   A list of course materials required for students to provide will be issued upon
registration.

Bring a notebook since there will be a great deal of information to take away!
    The instructor will provide handouts:

    •   Outline of contents of each class session
    •   A list of artwork supply resources that students may wish to make use of
    after the class series
    •   A list of “jewels of wisdom” – insightful quotations and thoughts to ponder or
refer to when producing your own artwork
